- Richard Jordan, Gettysburg, 1992. After auditioning for Brigadier General Lewis A Armistead, Gorman (ex-dancer, clown and Akido 4th Degree Black Belt) was demoted to Major General John Bell Hood in Ted Turner’s first cinema project - at 271 minutes, the longest US film. This was Jordan’s final role he died from a brain tumour five weeks months before the October 1993 premiere in Gettysburg.
