- Aileen Quinn, Annie, 1981. Some 8,000 kids were seen in a two year national talent hunt; 70 were auditioned. Young Kristin’s Oklahoma accent was too thick for Little Orphan Annie (originally planned as Little Orphan Otto!). So, she escaped an itchy red wig and having Alpo rubbed on her face to encourage the damned dog to kiss her. Kristin was Lilly St Regis in the 1999 tele-re-hash.
