- Alexandra Bastedo, The Champions, TV, 1968-1969. The Australian Andre, Bastedo and Illona Rodgers were the final three up for Sharron Macready, one of three Nemesis agents, given super powers by a yogi after their plane crash in the Himalayas. One of the better Lew Grade series aimed at conquering the US. It didn’t. It should have. Tom Cruise loved it and wantefd to head a movie franchise auteur Christopher McQuarrie in 2008. Their Mission: Impossibles got in the way. (Andre and Rodgers were later in Prisoner: Cell Block H, 1983-1984).
