1. - Mark Brown, Comrades, 1987. Legg, the traitor  of the 19th Century Tolpuddle Martyrs was reserved for the Jamie of Scottish director Bill Douglas' classic 1972-78 trilogy - My Childhood,  My Ain Folk,  My Way Home.  The reason Archibald did not make this film is unique in these annals.  He was in jail. He never filmed again and was dead from drugs at age 38.
