- Pat Somerset, Clive of India, 1934. As per usual, the Irish Gerrard had a support role (126 of them!) but was replaced here as Lieutenant Walsh after six days by the British Somerset. Twenty years ealier, Gerrard had been an an actor and director in Universal’s silents period. Ronald Colman played Clive - real-lifew kin to co-star Colin Clive (the original Frankenstein, 1931).
