George Reeves, Adventures of Superman, TV, 1955. After three seasons, Super Reeves quit and Alyn (the movie serials’ Supie) was offered the cape. No, he’d had enough, too. Having failed to raise any interest (or budget) for his Port of Entry series idea, Reeves returned to Metropolis - with an increased pay-cheque. He was the only actor to appear in all 104 episodes during 1952-1958. And the oldest Supie, at 38 in ’52.
