Kateb had to leave for another adapated play, Peter Handke’s LesBeaux jours d’Aranjuez.(Shot in ten days!)Hence the change of the blue collar brother of Gaspard Ulliel as the writer coming home to die. An A List French cast (Nathalie Baye, Marion Cotillard, Lea Seydoux, et al) didn’t make Xavier Dolan’s film any less insufferable than his usual Canadian output.
