- Hurd Hatfield, The Picture of Dorian Gray, 1944. All the unknown pretty boys like Donner,Robert Alton Jr, Michael Dyne and John Good had Gray tests. Hatfield was prettier. Donner’s career totalled just two uncredited movie roles - Meet Me In St Louis, 1943, and Specter of the Rose, 1946.
