The Irish-Danish Sean won his Mancunian namesake, Frank Gallagher - until  considered too young to have such a (motley) crowd of kids.  The bill for re-shooting Sean’s scenes with Trelfall was £100,000. William H Macy became the US Gallagher in 2011:  “I was born to play this role.”
