Barbara Harris (1935-2018) |
|
- Patty Duke, Valley of the Dolls, 1967. The Broadway star (and one of Hitchcock’s final pair of leading ladies) was one of the bette rideas for the character based - so obviously - upon Judy Garland.
- Teri Garr, Oh God! 1977. Considering her acknowledged flair for improvisation - she started out in Chicago with a couple of other teens:Elaine May and Mike Nichols - Harriswas just what this comedy would have required. Before it became a George Burns vehicle.
