- David Hyde Pierce, A Bug’s Life, 1997. Foley, news director of WNYK in the NewsRadio series, read for Slim - and became the heroic Flik, a young ant rebel seeking aid, a la Seven Samurai/Magnificent Seven, against marauding grasshoppers. Pierce’s Slim was a stick insect among the, er, samurai - alongside a mantis, a moth, black widow, etc.
