1. - Annette O'Toole, Smallville, TV, 2001-09.  During the pilot, it became obvious  - and  Cynthia agreed - that  she was not cut out to  be Clark Kent’s  adoptive mom, Mrs (later Senator) Martha Kent. Annette, free due to the cancellation of her series, The Huntress, had been Lana Lang in Superman III.
