Dennis Price (1915-1973) |

- Derek Bond, Summer Holiday, 1964. The veteran, gay UK “second-rate feature actor” was fired as quickly as he was hired for third filmusical of the “British Elvis,” Cliff Richard. (His co-star, Suasan Hampshire, also managed to crash the first Beatles film, A Hard Day’s Night, 1964). Sadly, Price’s 170-film career was spiralling down from the highs of his serial killingof the entire D’Ascoyne family in Kind Hearts and Coronets, 1949, to toiling for director Jess Franco.
