1. - Stockard Channing, Grease, 1978.   "It just sort of fizzled out," said Gorney of her 15 minutes of global fame on Travolta's arm in Saturday Night Fever. Hence Channing as the oldest High School girl ever seen in, even, a Hollywood movie. She was 34.  

2. - Marilyn Hassett, The Bell Jar, 1979.   Unearthing her own projects, Gorney   fell for Sylvia   Plath's novel. Producer Robert Stigwood did not.
