1.   - Pierre Fresnay, Marius, France, 1931.   For Paramount,   producer Alexander Korda directed three simultaneous versions of playwright-cineaste Marcel Pagnol's 1929 stage smash: French, German, Swedish.   "Very curious," recalled Fresnay, "to see three Césars, three Fannys and   three Mariuses   in the same straw hat, scarf and shoes."
