- Hayley Mills, Summer Magic, 1963. One (old) Disney favourite - an original Mouseketeer - was replaced by the newer model.
- Deborah Whalley, The Ghost in the Invisible Bikini, 1966. This is historic - the first (indeed, the last) AIP Beach Party movie that does not take place on a beach? Beach Party in a Haunted House really - except Annette and Frankie Avalon had enough with beaches. The sand just gets everywhere... They handed over to the listless ex-Disney teen Tommy Kirk and Gidget Goes Hawaiian, 1961.. AIP boss James H Nicholson was quickly added his missus, Susan Hart, as a ghost - still in her Beach Party Bingo bikini - being superimposed over previously shot footage of Boris Karloff as The Corpse and the original, 1923, Ben-Hur, Francis X Bushman, in his 230th and final screen role.
- Connie Stevens, Grease 2, 1982. Frankie Avalon, her co-star from the 1963-1965 Beach Party films, had guested in Grease, 1978. Now it was her turn - except she had no time to be Ms Mason. Tab Hunter was another new teacher! After making Back to the Beach, 1987, with Avalon, Annette was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.
